Iodine, being the key ingredient supporting the thyroid. It enabling the production of thyroid hormones and a healthy function.
Although the above list is a comprehensive formula it seems to exclude a number of vital ingredients proven through clinical studies to be highly beneficial for the support of the thyroid such as selenium, magnesium, and zinc. The problem with proprietary blends is that we do not know the exact quantity of the ingredients in the supplement. The product does not contain any artificial ingredients.
Instructions
Instructions on the bottle are clear and straightforward. It is recommended to take one capsule three times a day or as recommended by a healthcare professional.
Cost
You can buy the product online directly through the manufacturer’s site for a cost of $19.90 Unfortunately there are no bulk discounts available. With the recommended dose of three capsules per day and a total of 60 capsules per bottle, you do not get a full month’s supply in a single bottle.
Possible Side Effects
Excess iodine has been known to cause cognitive issues for unborn children. Pregnant women are therefore advised to avoid the use of such a supplement. Heightened iodine levels have also been known to cause goiter, high TSH levels, and hyperthyroidism. People who have hyperthyroidism should consult a doctor before taking this product.
Guarantee
There is no satisfaction guarantee per se, however, the manufacturer offers a 30-day return policy. You can only return opened bottles if it is the first time you are trying the product. The details of their return policy are explained on their website and seem complicated. To a return a product, you first have to get a Return Authorization Number from the supplier.
The highly complex return policy and lack of satisfaction guarantee are somewhat of a red flag possibly showing a lack of confidence from the manufacturer in their own product.
PRL ThyroVen Review – The Bottom Line
PRL ThyroVen seems to be a decent thyroid support supplement, providing the main component of iodine for a reasonable price.
According to research, for a thyroid supplement to be fully effective, there are a number of additional ingredients which seem to be lacking in PRL ThyroVen. The other unfortunate inconvenience is that PRL does not supply a full month’s supply within a single order. Another drawback is that their return process is highly complicated. There are other products available that contain more ingredients and are more convenient to purchase.
