Manufacturer’s Claim
This review will look in detail at MegaRed, a joint care supplement that is said to quickly treat and reduce the joints discomfort through its unique formula which includes an anti-oxidant to tackle oxidative damage in joints. The manufacturer cites a recent clinical study to back up the efficacy of this supplement. According to the manufacturer, it is the most efficient treatment for bad joints. The combination of Omega-3 fatty acids and the antioxidant are said to be the secret behind the supplement’s effectiveness. Is this the right product to help improve your joint health? Read our full review below and decide.
Formula
Proprietary blend (353 mg) includes:
- Krill oil (source of Omega-3 fatty acids)

Omega-3 is said to support joint health while Hyaluronic acid, which is naturally occurring in the body, may help lubricate joints. Astaxanthin has anti-oxidant properties which can help prevent a number of diseases. Those allergic to shellfish, or who are taking anti-coagulants should check with their doctors before embarking on this supplement, as should pregnant or lactating women.

Cost
MegaRed comes in packets of 30 soft gels each, and each pack retails at $24.99 on the Schiff Vitamins website. The same package on Amazon was priced at $32.31 at the time of our review. It pays to shop around for this product as it is not sold directly on the manufacturer’s website.
Possible Side Effects
This supplement may occasion some undesirable effects in some users. If you notice any deviation from the usual, you should report to your doctor at once. Krill oil is responsible for most of the possible side effects which include diarrhea, difficulties passing stool, headache and fever among others. However, the MegaRed official website does not list any side effects.
Guarantee
We were unable to find any return/refund information on the manufacturer’s website but, given that it does not directly sell products, this is not too surprising. Schiff Vitamins does offer refunds but returns must be made within 30 days of purchase and a restocking fee of 15% is charged. It’s best to check the return policy of the retailer you purchase from.
MegaRed Joint Care Review – The Bottom Line
MegaRed Joint Care looks like a player in the joint health supplement market. It uses a formula with proven formula to help support joint health and is simple to take, at just one tablet a day. Amazon customer ratings are also notably positive.
We do feel it’s important to point out that the lack of a manufacturer-backed refund policy for this product means you may not be able to return it if it doesn’t work for you. At the very least you will need to check the return policy of the retailer where you buy it. Also, those allergic to shellfish should not consider using this product.
