Manufacturer’s Claim
This is our review for a supplement called Zenith Nutrition Biotin. It is a dietary supplement formulated to support healthy hair, skin and nails. It is also designed to support cell growth, energy production, healthy nervous system and healthy digestive system.
Formula
Zenith Nutrition Biotin contains 10 000 mcg of biotin, of which 33% is a daily serving. Even though this does not sound like it is a lot, and also knowing that biotin is safe, taking much more than the daily allowance is not good. The minimum daily allowance for biotin as recommended by Food and Nutrition Board of Institute of Medicine is 30 mcg per day. It is advised that you contact your healthcare practitioner if you plan to take more than 25000 mcg of biotin in one day.
Instructions
The suggested dosage is 1 capsule, taken daily or as recommended by your healthcare provider. It is not indicated whether it is taken before, with or after meals.
Cost
This supplement is sold online through the manufacturer’s website and third- party retailers websites. The manufacturer sells it for $9.61 for 60 capsules. Prices on third-party retailers vary per retailers. Discounts are also available from selected retailers.
Possible Side Effects
Biotin is considered to be safe. However, it is recommended that individuals who are pregnant, breastfeeding, diabetic, hypoglycaemic, and individuals who are on medication should talk to their healthcare practitioner before they take this supplement.
Guarantee
We searched the entire website for information on the manufacturer’s guarantee, but unfortunately there is no information that mentions it. This is disappointing because it means that you cannot return the product if you are unsatisfied with the results. It is also concerning because the lack of guarantee points to the lack of confidence of the manufacturer towards their product.
Zenith Nutrition Biotin Review – The Bottom Line
Zenith Nutrition could be effective for supporting healthy skin, hair, and nails. It could also be beneficial for improving the digestive system, nervous system, and the production of energy. We like that the price is reasonable and that the product does not contain lactose and gluten, because it accommodates individuals who are intolerant to these ingredients. There are, however, few things that we do not like about this supplement. It does not accommodate individuals who are diabetic and those who are hypoglycaemic. This is uncommon amongst biotin supplements and it is concerning. We ask ourselves what it is that is contained in this product that makes it not to be suitable for the mentioned individuals, as this is uncommon to other biotin products. It also has very high levels of biotin, much more than the allowed daily intake. We are also concerned about the lack of money-back guarantee because this means that you cannot return this supplement for a refund if you are unsatisfied for any reason. That way the manufacturer and/retailers are gaining, while you are losing and not benefiting from the product. Rather buy something that is supported by the manufacturer’s guarantee, and one that contains less amounts of biotin. We do not recommend Zenith Nutrition Biotin.
